Bach Festival 'Eternal Light'- Dordrecht

A cathedral of light. This is what musical collective LUDWIG and Cappella Amsterdam together with light artist Jaap van den Elzen created in the opening concert of the Dordrecht Bach festival, which has ‘Light’ as its 2018 theme. Bach’s ‘O Jesu Christ, meins Lebens Licht [‘Light of my Life’] is central, surrounded by a programme ranging from ancient to new music celebrating the light, and scored for a variety of instruments, including music by composers from Gabrieli to Ligeti and from Monteverdi to Moore. Allow yourself to be immersed into this ‘enlightening’ spatial and sensory experience for your eyes and ears.
